Media Processing Notice

How Ping handles photos, video, audio, files and call-related material.

1. Scope and operations

Media includes avatars, photos, video, voice messages, documents, thumbnails, files and encrypted call media or signalling created or selected by a user. Ping may receive, validate, upload, store, create technical variants, deliver, synchronise and delete it to provide the selected feature; call data is transmitted to establish and maintain a call, and Ping does not claim to record call content.

2. Providers and countries

Object-storage, CDN, network, call, notification and security providers may process media outside the user's country. The provider, region and route can change for availability and security. Ping applies the legally required transfer basis and safeguards; the current recipient category and country can be requested at info@my-ping.app.

3. Visibility, security and deletion

Visibility follows the selected profile, chat, space and recipients. Public-profile consent does not expose closed-chat media. Secret-chat media, where available, follows that mode's end-to-end encryption. Deletion from Ping cannot remove a copy already saved outside the service by a recipient. Retention depends on account activity, feature settings, purpose, backups and mandatory rules.
